Whether you no longer like the look of ear gauges as a fashion
style or longer earlobes are getting in the way of life’s activities, you can
have earlobe correction surgery by a board certified Lubbock plastic surgeon.
Earlobe procedures are becoming increasingly popular as people get older and
want to reverse the decisions of their youth which intentionally enlarged their
earlobes.
Gauge Correction
Procedure
The procedure is not complicated and usually done as an
outpatient procedure with local anesthetics. Your doctor removes excess lobe
tissue then artistically stitches up your lobe to look like a normal earlobe.
Patients may have some bruising and tenderness. Pain is managed with
over-the-counter pain medications. If you want to have your ears pierced again,
you can do that during the surgery. Your doctor will place small stud earrings
in your ears that will need to stay in place for at least two weeks. When you
are planning your surgery and if you smoke, you will need to stop smoking
before your surgery and after while you heal.
